Hot Induction Bends
HIB introduction
Man Offshore and Drilling Ltd. (MODL) manufactures Hot Induction Bends (HIB) process is much heating process as it is a bending process of various sizes in conformance with various specifications to meet the growing global demand of pipe line.
The Company set up a new unit for manufacturing HIB pipes are available in various qualities, diameter and wall thickness of the finished pipes.
HIB Pipes are manufactured in diameter ranging from 18” to 48” in strict conformance to API, ASME & client specifications from various sectors such as construction of bridge, arches and other structural project.
HOT Induction Bend (HIB)
HIB Plant is installed with latest and Advanced Technological features with Automation.
The induction bending process is a manufacturing method that almost fully automated. The straight pipe is heated particularly and forced by an arm to get into the desired shape. An induction coil heats the local regions of the pipe.
This means your piece of steel has minimized thinning and ovality. It also has predictable material deformation, and its mechanical properties are consistent, based on controllable temperature profiles in the section that is being heated. Another benefit is that multiple radii can be used without the need for a die or mandrel.
