1. What are the activities undertaken by Man Industries (India) Ltd ?

The company offers line pipe solutions to its customers engaged in Oil Gas and water transportation. It manufactures two types of line pipes – LSAW – Longitudinally Submerged Arc Welded and HSAW – Helical / Spiral Submerged Arc Welded. To protect the line pipes from corrosion, the Company also offers various options of coating system, which includes PE, FBE Internal Epoxy and Coal tar Enamel coating; thereby enhancing the operational life of the Pipes.

2. What is the difference between LSAW & HSAW pipes? What are the different diameters for which pipes are made ?

LSAW pipes are made from HR Plates whereas HSAW pipes are made from HR Coils. LSAW pipes can be in the diameter ranging from 16″ to 56″ whereas HSAW pipes can be in the diameter ranging from 16″ to 130″ or even higher diameter. LSAW Pipes have straight seam whereas HSAW pipes have spiral or helical seam. Both types of pipes find application in Oil and Gas sector whereas in water sector only HSAW pipes are used.

3. Where is the plant located ?

The Company manufactures pipes at two locations in India, the first plant is located at Pithampur in Central India’s Madhya Pradesh, which was set up in the mid – 1990s. The second plant is at Anjar in Gujarat, at the west coast of India, which was set up in 2004. Both the plants are integrated having facilities to manufacture LSAW and HSAW pipes, and provide Coating Solutions.

4. What is manufacturing capacity ?

The total capacity is One Million Tonnes in both the the plants combined together, which is equally divided between LSAW and HSAW Pipes.

5. Who handles the Registration and Transfer ?

6. How is the Share Transfer System regularized in the Company ?

The applications and requests received by your Company for transfer of shares held in physical form are processed and the share certificates for the same are sent to the transferee within the stipulated period under the Companies Act 1956 and the Listing Agreement. A summary of all the transfers, transmissions, deletion requests, etc. are placed before the Board of Directors from time to time for their review.
